What is the best workout? Well in order to answer this question, you must first decide what your personal goals are. Are you attempting to lose weight? Gain muscle mass? Increase flexibility?
There is know one-size-fits-all workout which can fit the needs of every person. Workouts vary in unlimited ways depending on the goals of the individual. So in order to be sure the workout regimen you choose is best fit for you, some research should be performed beforehand.
Exercise to Lose Weight / Burn Calories:
The best form of working out in order to lose weight and/or burn calories is aerobic exercises. These high endurance exercises focus on cardiovascular training for heart and lung health as well. Forms of aerobic exercises include running, biking, cardio-kickboxing, jumping rope, etc.
Exercise to Gain Muscle Mass:
In order to gain muscle and increase mass, anaerobic exercise training should be performed. These short-term exercises focus on muscle strength and power. Forms of anaerobic exercises include sprinting, weight lifting, high intensity interval training, etc.
Exercise to Increase Flexibility:
Flexibility is gained through the gradual stretching of muscles and tendons. Increasing flexibility improves range of motion and reduces risk of injury during any physical activity. Forms of flexibility exercises include standard stretching, pilates, yoga, tai chi, etc.
Exercise to Increase Internal Energy:
Another form of working out would be to exercise your internal energy. Internal energy benefits the body by providing stress relief, relaxation, spirituality, increasing focus, etc. Ways of exercising internal energy include meditation, yoga, prayer, etc.
Many other types of exercises are available to help accomplish any goals an individual might have. No matter which exercise regime you choose, as long as you are physically active and persistent, your body will thank you in the long run.
